Air Temperature

« Back to Glossary Index

Air temperature is a measure of how hot or cold the air is. Temperature, altitude, and humidity can signficantly impact a successful shot. That’s why TrackingPoint developed sensors to take these factors into account when lining up the shot. For every 20 degrees difference (Fahrenheit) from the temperature at which you zeroed, you can expect a drop of 0.5 to 1.0 m.o.a. With TrackingPoint optics, you’ll always be on target because the technology makes the adjustments you need automatically to fit the environmental factors that otherwise impact the shot.
